Folk artist Geng Xuezhi shows his "Jinhuidui" work in Zibo, east China's Shandong Province, Jan. 12, 2011. "Jinhuidui", literally meaning a pile of old things from ash, is a branch of traditional Chinese painting, originating from Yuan Dynasty. A frame is set before-hand in creating a "Jinhuidui" painting. Then different old things, such as a piece of worn-out paper, a wrinkled picture, or a yellow newspaper, are painted in the frame. As the creation of "Jinhuidui" works requires great skills and a long time, this art is in the danger of being lost. [Xinhua/Zhang Hongxia]
