The 5.2-magnitude earthquake that hit Tengchong on Monday has left six people injured and caused significant economic losses, the Ministry of Civil Affairs said Tuesday. As of 3 p.m. Tuesday, the quake had affected 22,000 local residents and led to the emergency relocation of 2,168 people. The local government has allocated 7 million yuan to set up a disaster relief fund, as well as sent hundreds of tents, quilts and articles of clothing to the quake zone, according to the ministry.
