Chilean President Michelle Bachelet said on Friday that the Chilean national soccer team will continue showing a good game and passion, when referring to the group draws for the coming World Cup of South Africa 2010.
Chile will be in Group H together with Spain, Honduras and Switzerland.
"I am convinced that our team has showed a great level of game and an enormous commitment with the t-shirt, with the colors of our flag," Bachelet said.
"We also have a great technical team leaded by coach Marcelo Bielsa," Bachelet said during a phone call with Chilean soccer director Harold Mayne Nichols.
"We are sure that in South Africa our team will continue showing what we have been living during the last times: good soccer, passion and love for Chile," Bachelet added.
Bachelet said that "the truth is that beyond judging if Chile's group is complicated, I would like to say that the rivals to face in the World Cup are of (high) category, because there have been 200 teams which have competed for 32 available tickets."
Bachelet said that "we will need all the courage and energy for our team continues conquering all the triumphs that gives so much joy."
Chile will play its first match of the World Cup on June 16, 2010 against Honduras in the city of in Nelspruit South Africa.
