The Brazilian soccer team Corinthians officially announced on Tuesday the signing of left-back Roberto Carlos after the player decided not to extend his contract with Fenerbahce of Turkey next season.

Carlos will be officially presented on Jan. 4 at the Corinthians stadium Parque Sao Jorge in Sao Paulo, and will be wearing number 6.

"Right now, the best for me is to be in Brazil. Playing in Corinthians is a way to make my career complete," said Carlos, who agreed to sign a two-year contract with the Brazilian club.
