Bari were held to 1-1 draw at Genoa while Bologna managed a 2-2 tie with Atalanta at home at Italian Serie A on Wednesday.
Promoted Bari draw 2-2 with leaders Inter Milan at the weekend and have a chance to spring into top six if they win at Genoa. The newcomers went ahead after four minutes through in-form striker Paulo Barreto but Genoa protested he had used an arm.
Omar Milanetto equalized early in the second period for Genoa, who had to postpone the original game in December because of snow.
Atalanta rallied back from two goals down to draw 2-2 at fellow strugglers Bologna in another rearranged match.
Home striker Marco Di Vaio scored twice in the first half but a Thomas Manfredini header and a cracking strike from Uruguayan striker Ernesto Chevanton sealed the draw.
