Bayern Munich's French international Franck Ribery received a three-match ban from the European football governing body UEFA and will miss the Champions League final.
Ribery was sent off for dangerous foul play in the first leg of Bayern's Champions League semifinal clash againist Lyon.
The 27-year-old winger stepped on the ankle of Lyon forward Lisandro after losing control of the ball in the in the 37th minute before Bayern won 1-0.
Ribery already sat out Tuesday's 3-0 second-leg victory in Lyon, and will miss the final on May 22 in Madrid. Bayern will face the winner of Barcelona and Inter Milan, who will play their sceond leg later on Wednesday.
Bayern has three days to appeal the penalty.
