German Bundesliga's club Hamburg SV and striker Paolo Guerrero agreed on a contract extension lasting to June 2014, the football club said in a press conference on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old Peruvian international joined Hamburg in 2006 and netted 27 goals in 87 official matches.
"I'm very happy to stay at Hamburg, it became my second home over the past years. The last season wasn't easy at all as more the club and my teammates kept supporting me. I'm looking forward for the new season especially with Hamburg," said Paolo Guerrero on the Hamburg SV website.
New head coach Armin Veh said: " I'm happy that renewed the contract. Paolo demonstrated all his class over the years. He will have a leading part and there does not exist many striker with his qualities."
