English Premier League side Birmingham will tour to China and play two charity matches against two local clubs next week, with all the incomes of the two matches to be donated to help the disabled in China.
Birmingham will play against the Beijing based team Guoan, reigning champions of Chinese top division league, on Wednesday in the National Stadium, also known as the "Birds' Nest". Then Birmingham will travel to the city of Shenyang of Liaoning Province to face local team Hongyun on Saturday.
All the three clubs have pledged to field their best squad on pitch in order to attract as many fans as possible.
Two celebrity football teams from both the mainland and Hong Kong, China will stage a warm-up match on Wednesday, before the clash between Birmingham and Guoan kicks off.
Players of both sides will also attend a charity banquet on Thursday in Beijing, and all the donations and auction incomes will be donated to the China Foundation for Disabled Persons, an organization working to improve living conditions for the disabled in China.
