Real Madrid said on Friday that they had reached a deal to sign German midfielder Sami Khedira from Stuttgart for a five-year contract.
Real Madrid announced the transfer on its website, describing Khedira as "a dynamic midfielder who can cover a lot of ground and can quickly join in attack."
The club released no financial details concerning the deal.
Khedira was praised for strong performances at the World Cup. He played seven matches during the World Cup in South Africa and scored the winning goal in the third-place play-off against Uruguay.
