The Spanish national soccer team, winner of the World Cup of South Africa 2010, tied 1-1 at the last minute with Mexico in a friendly match on Wednesday.
At a full Azteca Stadium, with 110,000 soccer fans, Spain and Mexico ended 1-1 in the match marked by the lack of rhythm of the Spanish team.
Mexico was the first one scoring at the minute 11 with a goal by Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez, while Spain scored at the minute 91 with David Silva.
The Spanish team was just a shadow of what it was when defeating the Netherlands at the World Cup of South Africa 2010. Most of the Spanish players just arrived from their vacations to play this match and others had just few days of previous training.
Spain, coached by Vicente del Bosque, were able to surpass the advantage marked by Mexico, with efforts.
Meanwhile, Mexico, which at the World Cup was eliminated in the second round, had the ball during the beginning of the match, after pressuring and impeding Spain to have it.
After the goals scored by Hernandez, Mexico continued having the ball, but it was not able to score more goals, despite it has opportunities to do it.
During the second half, Spain made changes which gave it more strength at the defense.
Step by step, Spain won place in the half of the field and entered the danger zone, till at the compensation time, Silva scored the tying goal.
Mexico had faced Spain eight times: two ties and six defeats.
