Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark beat Russian eighth seed Adia Petrova 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 to win the third straight New Haven WTA title on Saturday.
The Dane will take the top seed in the US Open next week.
It was the second title of the week for 20-year-old Wozniacki, who earned a title in the rain-disrupted event in Montreal on Monday.
Petrova, who received a wild-card into the New Haven draw, battled from behind throughout.
