The head coach of the Brazilian national soccer team, Mano Menezes expressed on Thursday his concern about the behavior of Santos striker Neymar.
Neymar burst out during his team's Wednesday match against Atletico-GO after head coach Dorival Junior did not opt for the 18-year-old to take a second half penalty kick. After using vulgar language against his coach, the forward was fined on Thursday by the team's administration.
Menezes pointed out that this was not the first time that Neymar lost control of his behavior on the field. The coach added that his attitude needed to change quickly if he intended to play with the national team in the future.
Menezes stated that a poor attitude was contagious within a team and that the problem needed to be solved quickly before affecting those around him and potentially leaving him off the national team's roster.
The coach added that he commended the reaction of Santos in taking disciplinary actions and for the cool and calmness of coach Dorival Junior.
