Argentine soccer player Juan Sebastian Veron said on Sunday he proposed Diego Maradona, former coach of the national soccer team, to meet to fix their ties after the impasse they had during the soccer World Cup of South Africa 2010.
"I proposed Diego to talk, but I have to wait for the answer. If he wants and is ready, I'd like to, of course," Veron said.
Veron played during the first matches of the World Cup 2010, and he was considered a key player to cooperate with player Lionel Messi, however Maradona decided not to let him play during the matches against Mexico and Argentina, in the second round and the quarterfinals.
Two weeks ago, Maradona said that "Veron could not be my forward, because he was not ready to play 90 minutes," explaining why Veron did not play those two matches at the World Cup.
