After losing its last World Cup warm-up match to China, the French World Cup team showed its continuous confidence ahead of its first game in the finals three days later in South Africa, according to news reports.
The team's head coach, Raymond Domenech still showed his confidence after the match lost, "Having lost will force us to be more careful, more inspired and to work harder."
However, Yoann Gourcuff, the French midfield player admited that his team has a long way to go before their World Cup opener against Uruguay on June 11, AFP reported.
"We'll have to work, we'll have to make adjustments and watch the video to create understanding and make adjustments between us in attacking and defensive areas," said Gourcuff.
Striker Nicolas Anelka also convinced his fans that the team's poor conditions before the finals could work in their favor as soon as the game begins.
The French soccer team arrived at their training site in Knysna, South Africa on last Saturday after a series of warm-up matches that saw it beat Costa Rica 2-1, draw 1-1 with Tunisia and lose 0-1 to China on last Friday.
