Park Ji Sung, who played a key role in South Korea's 2-0 win over 2004 European champions Greece here on Saturday, was voted as the Man of Match.
The 29-year-old winger from Manchester United scored the second goal today.
In the 52nd minute, a poor cross from Greece at the back gifted Park a thrusting solo run and he dribbled past two defenders straight into the box and sealed the win with a powerful shot.
As his nickname "double-hearted oxygen tank" indicates, Park is a workhorse who never stops running down the flanks or in the middle of the park.
Park, who started his career as a defensive midfielder, has won three English Premier League champions and a UEFA Champions League title. He has become an icon of South Korean football.
This is the third time for him to play at World Cup and his form will in a sense decide the fate of his team.
