NBA side Charlotte Bobcats confirmed Thursday that reserve center Joel Przybilla will be out for the rest of the season with pain in his right knee.
Przybilla joined Bobcats from Portland Trail Blazers in a February 24 trade, which saw Bobcats send Gerald Wallace to Portland. But Przybilla has been out of the sideline since March 7, leaving the team with just one healthy center, Kwame Brown.
The Bobcats said Przybilla will undergo another procedure to remove wires inserted in the knee after he twice tore his patella tendon.
Bobcats are struggling to gain a playoff berth as they are just one game behind of the eighth ranked Indiana in the Eastern Conference.
