The Asian Tour has signed a partnership with Getty Images, the world's leading creator and distributor of still imagery, footage and multi-media products, officials announced today.
Through an initial three-year agreement, Getty Images will act as the global sales and distribution agents and archival solutions provider of the Asian Tour's still photography assets.
Asian Tour Executive Chairman Kyi Hla Han said the tie-up will boost the Tour's profile through Getty Images' extensive worldwide network and distribution facilities, which will inevitably boost the Tour's overall media platform and exposure and ensure the best offering to sponsors and partners.
"Through the cosmopolitan make-up of our members from over 30 nationalities, the partnership with Getty Images will no doubt expand our pictorial exposure globally which will benefit the Tour, players and our sponsors," said Han.
"Getty Images is recognised as the leader in its field and we look forward to a strong partnership with them as they are represented globally through its international offices."
Lee Martin, Senior Vice President, Sales, Europe and Asia Pacific, Getty Images commented: "As the demand for compelling content from the world's leading sports events continues to grow, we are delighted to partner with the Asian Tour and bring this internationally-renowned event to customers around the globe."
Getty Images also has partnerships with other sporting events, including the European Tour, PGA Tour, Red Bull and the Volvo Ocean Race.
