Injured Tiger Woods fired off a Twitter message on the eve of the US Open, the best he could do after nagging left knee and Achilles tendon injuries forced him to withdraw last week.
Woods had played in every US Open since 1994, when he had just graduated from high school and his replacement in the US Golf Association event at Congressional Country Club, American Michael Whitehead, was only six years old.
"Last time I missed a USGA event Salt N Peppa was still cool and Whitehead was a toddler," Woods posted on Wednesday on his Twitter microbloging website.
Then Woods had a change of heart about Salt-n-Pepa, the three-woman rap music group from New York.
"Wait, Salt N Peppa is still cool!!" Woods tweeted.
