Dana Vollmer of the United States won the women's 100 metres butterfly title at the world swimming championships on Monday.
Vollmer clocked 56.87 seconds in the final to beat Alicia Coutts of Australia, who claimed silver in 56.94 seconds, while Ying Lu of China won bronze in 57.06 seconds.
