China's national university golf team is ready to compete at the upcoming 26th World University Games in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province.
The team of six men and five women will compete from Aug. 17 to 20 at Mission Hills Golf Club.
"The group members are very excellent and I appreciate their good personal qualities," said head coach Song Qingli at a press conference on Tuesday. "I am confident that they will make a good performance in the upcoming Universiade."
This Universiade is the first to have a golf event. "It will also be helpful to promote the sport event among Chinese young people," said Gao Ronghai, executive vice president of Hainan Airlines, a sponsor of the national college golf team.
