Sir Alex Ferguson, the most decorated manager in British football history, called time on his 26-year reign at Old Trafford.
Ferguson, 71, took charge of Manchester United in 1986 and enjoyed a trophy-laden 26 years at the club. United has dominated English football in the Premier League era, winning the league title 13 times and lifting the UEFA Champions League in 1999 and 2008.
Under Ferguson, United also won the FA Cup five times, the League Cup four times, and the FIFA Club World Cup, Intercontinental Cup, the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
