In recent years, esports has continued to gain momentum and receive more recognition. According to the Olympic Council of Asia, eight esports will be played as medal events in the 19th Asian Games next year, including Arena of Valor Asian Games version, Dota 2, EA Sports FIFA, League of Legends and PUBG Mobile Asian Games version.
Apart from the multi-sport competition alongside traditional sports, tournaments for specific games — such as Dota 2's International and the League of Legends World Championship — have already proven popular in the video game industry.
