A four-team international basketball tournament will be held in Israel this September, the first of such kind since the outbreak of the current conflict on October 7 last year.
NBA legend Tony Parker, president and owner of the French Euroleague club Asvel Lyon-Villeurbanne, and Ofer Yannay, chairman and owner of the Israeli EuroCup club Hapoel Tel Aviv, jointly announced the news on Thursday in Tel Aviv. Champions League sides Hapoel Jerusalem of Israel and Rytas Vilnius of Lithuania will also participate in the tournament.
There is also a possibility of expanding to additional teams.
