Sichuan Blue Whales power forward Li Jinxiao sat top of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league's Most Improved Player standings for the first 10 rounds, data from the league's governing body showed on Friday.
Li, who is on loan from the Zhejiang Lions this season, played seven matches in the first stage with 33.4 minutes of playing time per game, averaging 10.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists, with his stats in these three categories all marking his career high.
Moreover, Li nailed an average of 2.1 three-pointers on 35.7% shooting. His points and rebounds per game ranked first among domestic players in the Sichuan team, while his average blocks led the entire team.
Qingdao Eagles guard Duan Angjun and Nanjing Monkey Kings small forward Guo Haowen ranked second and third respectively in the standings.
