The Beijing Ducks won their sixth straight game with a 99-92 win over the Beijing Royal Fighters on Friday in the round 14 of the 2024-25 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league regular season.
Grant Riller and Jared Sullinger of the Beijing Royal Fighters put the team ahead in the opening stage. However, Zhou Qi stood out to score key points and help the Beijing Ducks lead at 30-23 at the end of the first quarter.
The Beijing Ducks remained dominant in the following time, leading by 19 points in the third quarter.
The home team's Liao Sanning and Travis Trice once helped cut the gap to 78-73 in the third quarter, but consecutive three-pointers by Chen Yingjun and Richard Solomon in the last quarter sealed the victory for the visiting team.
Also on Friday, the Shanghai Sharks earned its first home win of the season by beating the Zhejiang Golden Bulls 124-94.
Kenneth Lofton scored a game-high 30 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists for Shanghai.
Elsewhere, The Shandong Heroes beat the Qingdao Eagles 102-98, the Xinjiang Flying Tigers saw off the Shenzhen Aviators 114-80, the Zhejiang Lions smashed the Fujian Sturgeons 121-95, the Shanxi Loongs eased past the Guangzhou Loong Lions 130-104, the Jiangsu Dragons edged the Guangdong Southern Tigers 100-98, and the Liaoning Flying Leopards hammered the Tianjin Pioneers 111-76.
