Fabio Carille has reached a deal to take charge of Brazilian Serie A club Vasco da Gama, according to media reports in the South American country.
The 51-year-old agreed to personal terms of a contract that runs until December 2025, newspaper O Globo reported on Thursday.
Vasco had been without a manager since parting ways with Rafael Paiva on November 24 after four consecutive losses in Brazil's top flight. Felipe Loureiro led the club for the final three matches of the season.
Carille was sacked as manager of Santos in November despite leading the club to the Serie B title.
Vasco finished 10th in Brazil's 20-team Serie A standings this year, 29 points behind the champion Botafogo.
