In 2014, 23.72 million cars were produced in China and 23.49 million cars were sold, up by 7.26 percent and 6.86 percent respectively compared with 2013. The total assets of the top 10 Chinese manufacturers and dealers of cars, parts and components amounted to 250 billion yuan (US$ 39.98 billion) last year.
