Famed landmarks, ancient relics, scenic beauty and unique culture are often the reasons for tourists to visit a city. However, some cities even with such features may still have something to learn when it comes to kindliness. They may have millions of visitors every year, but they didn't impress visitors with their people management skills and failed to warm their hearts.
Travel + Leisure, a one-stop online resource for travelers, has published a list of the 30 unfriendliest cities in the world, selected by their readers. Among the words used in writing about these cities are "glum," "rude," and "not exactly the kindest."
Moscow gets the vote as the unfriendliest city thanks to its unhelpful locals and general aloofness. A few cities of the U.S. and France also perform poorly, with two from the latter and five from the former entering the top 10.
