Located in east China's Jiangsu province, Suzhou is famed for its collection of refined gardens. The nine gardens on the UNESCO World Heritage List were built between the Northern Song and late Qing dynasties (11th-19th century). The Classical Gardens of Suzhou feature miniature rocks, hills, creeks, ponds and elegant pavilions.
