The Khampa Art Festival held every four years is considered a grand event for Tibetans in Tibet Autonomous Region, Sichuan, Qinghai, and Yunnan provinces.
The event of 2009 kicked off in early November in Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Region, northwest China's Qinghai Province. Religious dances performed by lamas dressed in splendid attires were the most attractive part of this festival. Jumps and hand waving each time were so graceful and nimble that the audience could feel their great passion in their performance.
