Cross-Straits scenic zone to release discount coupon

A tourist coupon will be released this year and offer discounts of up to 70 percent of admission prices for attractions in Chinese mainland and Taiwan.

The coupon can be used in some 300 scenic spots, including Wuyi Mountain, Gulangyu Islet and Jinhu Lake in Fujian Province; Yandang Mountain and Hengdian World Studios in Zhejiang Province; Lushan Mountain and Wuyuan Old Town in Jiangxi Province; and Kinmen, Matsu and Penghu in Taiwan.
Released by the Fujian Tourism Administration, the coupon will remain effective until December 31, 2014, giving tourists sufficient time to visit all the scenic spots in the zone.

The coupon also allows tourists to book hotels at discounts ranging from 40 percent to 70 percent in Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Jiangxi and Taiwan. Scenic spots in the zone will also offer tourists free travel accident insurance and free health insurance.
