The Shoton Festival (Xuedun,雪頓節(jié)) - August 10th-16th, 2010
In Tibetan, "Shoton" means sour milk banquet. The Shoton Festival is one of the annual typical Tibetan festivals in Lhasa. During the festival, there are a lot of Tibetan operas, Buddha painting exhibition as well as dancing and singing shows, including the horse racing and Yak racing. It is a good opportunity to learn about Tibetan culture.
