Extra trains and taxis were called back on duty on September 24, as a record number of visitors exited the World Expo Park in Shanghai.
Visitor numbers peaked at 600-thousand, and when the crowds left at 10pm, police were called to keep order. An additional train was added to help transport people on the subway.
And an extra 1000 expo taxis came back on duty to ease the crowds. If that wasn't enough, 4 emergency buses were used to evacuate any remaining stranded visitors.
