Macao recorded a total number of 685, 056 tourist arrivals during this year's National Day holidays, according to the figures released on Friday by the Immigration Department of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR).
The figures showed that the number of tourist arrivals for this year's National Day holidays, lasting from Oct. 1 to 7, was 12.94 percent higher than the same period of last year.
During the period, nearly 2.3 million visitors crossed Macao's seven immigration checkpoints, with the total visitor arrival standing at 1,147,779 while departure reaching 1,152,015, according to the immigration authority.
Macao's Border-gate checkpoint, which links the SAR with the Chinese mainland, logged the largest number of border movements, with arrivals and departures standing at 834,326 and 868,219 respectively, according to the figures.
