Spring Airlines, the Chinese low-cost airline, has said that it will start operating round-trip flights from Hong Kong to Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province, on December 23, 2010.
The new service will be operated every Monday, Thursday, and Sunday using 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft. Flight 9C8571 will leave Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport at 09:55 and arrive at Hong Kong International Airport at 12:50. Flight 9C8572 flight will leave Hong Kong at 13:50 and arrive in Shijiazhuang at 16:50.
The ticket price for the new service is expected to be relatively low. The carrier also plans to operate a bus link between Shijiazhuang Airport and downtown Beijing, in a bid to attract more passengers from in and around Beijing.
In July 2009, Spring Airlines chose Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport as one of its hubs. The carrier has launched flights from Shijiangzhuang to Shanghai, Shenyang, Hohhot, and Chengdu.
