Sept. 3 is the anniversary of the victory of the the War of Chinese People's Resistance against Japanese Aggression. A collection of photos named "To Victory" featuring a 6-year-old girl who traveled along battle sites and memorials has become a hit on the Internet.
The girl named "Milky" has already been to Beijing, Shanghai, Hunan, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Guangdong, Gansu, Yunnan to visit the battle sites and memorials of the Anti-Japanese War.
Milky's parents used a microblog named "the eye of Milky" ("Xiao Niu Nai De Yan Jing") to record her journey of the historical war sites and named this collection "To Victory" to mark the 69th anniversary of the Chinese People's Anti-Japanese War. This collection of photos was shared later on Tianya, People's Daily Online and Xinhuanet.
"We do not want her to see this war as a history of humiliation, but to see the courage and persistence of Chinese people fighting against those intruders," Milky's parents said.
