Itinerary in brief: Chengdu-Wolong (Panda Base)-Rilong (Mt. Siguniang)-Danba-Tagong-Xindu Bridge-Kangding-Chengdu

Day 1 destination: Date with the Pandas at Wolong National Natural Reserve

Opened in 1963, Wolong National Natural Reserve is the oldest, largest and best-known panda reserve in China. With well-preserved biodiversity and spectacular natural beauty, it is a fairyland for visitors. Transport: there are regular buses from Chengdu Chadianzi Coach Center to Wolong, which usually take three hours. Ticket Price: Giant Panda Museum 20 Yuan

Opening Times 8 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Day 2 destination: Mount Siguniang

Mount Siguniang, literally "Four Girls Mountain," consists of four continuous peaks with the main peak standing at 6,250 meters high. Known as the "Alps of the East," the mountains are covered by snow and ice all year round, which just like four girls veiled with white fabric. Transport: The regular bus leaves from the Chengdu Chadianzi Passenger Transport Center four times a day (at 6:30, 7:00, 7:30 and 12:00) to Rilong Town. Or, you can take a coach from Wolong Town after your Panda trip.

Ticket price: Apr-Nov 60-70 Yuan

Dec-Mar 40-50 Yuan

Opening times: 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Best time to visit: Summer & Autumn

Day 3 destination: Beauty Valley-Danba

With groups of towers scattered around the valley, Danba County has been dubbed "a kingdom of a thousand castles," which were built hundreds of years ago for defense and trade. Known as the "Beauty Village," girls born in the village are considered particularly beautiful, perhaps due to the favorable environment. Transport: the most convenient route is to take a coach from Chengdu City or Rilong Town to Danba.
