Thailand is regarded as a country of thousand Buddha. Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a Theravada Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand, started its construction in 1300s. It is said that a white elephant chose the site for the temple and a royal family undertook the construction work. The temple got the name of "Double Dragon" because two golden dragons guarded the temple along the mountain road.
