Day 6: Id Kah Mosque
As the biggest mosque in China, Id Kah Mosque is a group of old Islamic structures with strong ethnic style and religious features. It is the center of Islamic activities for people in Kashgar and surrounding cities, and thousands of worshippers come here to pray every day.
Transport: Take the No.77 or No.13 bus from downtown Kashgar
Opening hours: 8am-5pm
Ticket price: 20 yuan
Tips: The mosque is closed during prayer times. Visitors should dress respectfully and are asked to take off their shoes inside the mosque before stepping on the carpet. Avoid taking photos of people who are praying, especially from their side or front.
