Dounan Flower Market, located in Chenggong district, Kunming city of southwestern China's Yunnan province, is Asia's largest fresh-cut flower trading market and a vital hub for Yunnan's floral industry.

Over 80% of fresh-cut flowers from Yunnan and surrounding regions are traded there, with exports to more than 50 countries, including Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Russia, and Australia.

The bustling 15,000-square-meter market sees over 1,600 flower varieties bought and sold daily, with annual transactions exceeding 10 billion stems. Remarkably, seven out of ten fresh-cut flowers in China originate from Dounan.

The Kunming International Flora Auction Trading Center, also located in Chenggong district, serves as a comprehensive platform for flower auctions, standards development, new variety promotion, and logistics. It is the largest flower auction market in Asia and the second largest worldwide.

Chenggong district is also enhancing its digital capabilities and leveraging transaction data to support farmers and guide government policies.

By enhancing the entire flower industry chain and integrating flowers with culture, tourism, and health, Chenggong aims to establish itself as the world's leading flower trading center and Asia's hub for floral innovation.
