Located in the Chengtian Temple, Ningxia Museum (Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Museum 寧夏回族博物館) is a provincial-level comprehensive museum. The old museum, built in 1973, was closed in 2008 and the new four-storey building opened on August 28 of the same year. The museum is located in the People's Square of Jinfeng District, Yinchuan City, covering an area of 30,258 square meters. The collections reach 40,000 and first-grade historical relics total 159. The museum assembles the Chinese character "Hui" and aims to fully display Hui culture. It consists of eight exhibition halls covering the Hui culture, stone rubbings from the Helan Mountains and Western Xia relics, etc. It has superb facilities and excellent services, such as magnificent LED screen, the most advanced sound, luminous and electricity system, advanced air purification system and as well as rest rooms and elevators for people with disabilities.
