Qu Na'r 去那兒
Designed by contrary art superstar Ai Weiwei who worked on the Bird's Nest stadium but later refused to be photographed next to it Qu Na'r (Where are you going?) serves up home-style cooking in a minimalist space. We're not sure if birds nest soup is on the menu, but the booze flows freely and the atmosphere can get lively. Plum wine, too sweet for most western palates, is a favorite among the locals; others may prefer to stick to the beer. Chicken with dried fern sounds strange but is quite palatable. Look for the blue neon square down a dark alley. This place gets busy so it's best to book a table.
