Warriors on show
The national treasure, No 1 Bronze Chariots and Horses, from northwest China's Shaanxi province Museum of the Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses of Qinshihuang are on display in the China Pavilion at the Expo 2010 Shanghai. It is the first time the No 1 Bronze Chariots and Horses, which were unearthed 30 years ago, are being presented outside Shaanxi.

The 888,888th visitor to the Portugal Pavilion in the Expo Garden has won a surprise gift, a T-shirt autographed by football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Real Madrid and Portugal. The lucky visitor was Bian Jiang, 23, from Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. He said he was happy to receive the gift because he liked watching football games and he is a fan of Ronaldo.

Smurfs are back
The Smurfs, cartoon characters from Belgium, have returned to the Chinese market for the first time in decades. The characters were popular among children in China from the 1980s to early 1990s. In the Belgium Pavilion, figures of Smurfs, blue creatures as tall as three apples, are one of the most popular exhibitions. The Smurfs cartoon was adopted into 256 cartoon animations, some of which were imported into China. New Smurfs books and films will soon be launched in Shanghai, and a new 3D Smurfs movie will hit theaters in August next year.

The Taipei Case Pavilion in the Urban Best Practices Area of the Expo Garden has impressed visitors with Taipei's WiFi Internet system. A similar situation is also developing in Shanghai, with more than 10,000 hotspots for WiFi connections already set up in the city. Currently, visitors can use WiFi in most hotels, office buildings, airports and college campuses in the city.
