For the first time, the International Foundation Mozarteum in Salzburg performed two NEW Mozart compositions on Sunday. The two piano pieces were recently identified as childhood creations by the legendary composer.
The works include an extensive concerto movement and a fragmentary prelude.
The first performance of the two Mozart works was held in a house where the master composer once lived.
Analysis determined that the works had been composed by Mozart when he was 7- or 8-years-old. Both pieces were transcribed in the writing of Mozart's father Leopold.
