Chinese diving stars Wu Minxia and Zhao Qinxin from Shanghai claimed the womens' synchronized 3-meter springboard title. Wu Minxia won the world championships and an Olympic gold medal, but she never held National Games' gold before.

This time, Wu and her partner Zhao Qinxin put in a near perfect performance from the beginning straight through to the final. They walked away with 361.50 points and the title. Qu Lin and Chen Ye of Guangdong came in second.
