China's Liu Xiang has done as expected by winning the 100m hurdles Thursday night, making it three wins in a row at the Asian Athletics Championship for the Shanghai native.
Liu took the lead from the start, the athletes battling heavy rain in Guangzhou. The weather didn't bother the main attraction too much though, the Athens Olympic champion wining the crown easily in a time of 13.50 seconds.
That result meant Liu Xiang has won the title at the Asian Athletics Championship three times in a row. It also gives him a ticket to the 2010 Athletics World Cup in Croatia, the only international meet where he hasn't won gold.
