Ticket prices for a high-speed train running between Wuhan in central Hubei province and Guangzhou, capital of southern Guangdong province have now been released.
According to the top economic planner, taking a seat in first class will set you back 780 yuan, while one in second will cost you 490 yuan. Eight carriages on the train are split into seven for second class passengers and and just the one reserved for first-class passengers. Travelling at 350 kilometers per hour, the new service will cut what used to be a 10-and-a-half-hour trip to three hours.
Airplanes running the route between Wuhan and Guangzhou are likely to get some competition, with the price for an airticket at 930 yuan, with travek tune if an hour and a half.
