Twin bombing attacks have killed at least 23 people, and wounded more than a hundred others, in Iraq's central Anbar Province.
A car bomb exploded on Wednesday morning outside the provincial council in the city of Ramadi. The governor of Anbar province, Qassim Mah-mmed Abid, was injured in the attack.
Police, say the governor was inspecting damage caused from the first bomb when he was caught in the second bomb blast.
Anbar is one of Iraq's strategically important provinces, as it was a former stronghold of the al-Qaida linked insurgency.
