China is becoming a focus point at the World Economic Forum in Davos. And while the Chinese media is following developments closely, so too are members of the foreign media.

It's snowing hard in Davos, but Chinese reporters are too busy to notice.

One BBC journalist says the Chinese media contingent is showing more interest than ever before.

He says the rising of Chinese media, is based on the rising of China's economy and international status.

This year's Forum is being held in the post-crisis period. New emerging markets are a hot topic, and this year a forum dedicated to China was established.

A Reuters reporter says that while China's growth is no longer a new topic, it is still fascinating.

China has had close ties with Davos since 1979. And in 2007, the World Economic Forum initiated Summer Davos in China. More than 60 Chinese entrepreneurs are members.
