Gary Chang, HK Architect and Resident, said, "I live alone, a bachelor pad. But then I realize that at one moment I can do, I'm performing one task only. So for me, I don't need to move, I'm quite lazy, but then the place changes for me."
Chang's inspiration came from his childhood living in the same apartment with his parents, three sisters and a tenant. It originally consisted of three tiny bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and a dining room. Space was tight.
Now, a much larger living room gives way to the spacious master bedroom. One wall houses the flat screen TV, but slides back to reveal a generous kitchen. Chang has even found room for a stand alone bar. He's renovated the apartment four times since buying it from his parents 20 years ago. Now he can relax in style while contemplating the next changes he will make.
